Thanks for peeking into my background! I'm a full-time parent who has dabbled professionally in teaching, advocacy, baking, and (finally) writing. I've been a lifelong writer. I actually submitted a book of poetry to a national competition when I was in elementary school and got an enthusiastic "thanks. " from the contest organization as a reply.

I have a masters degree in sociology, which, one professor told me early on, would be as likely to get me a job as "the chances of getting goat milk from a honey bee." Boy, was he right! I can see why he had a Ph.D.!

Nowadays, I spend my time in the delirious fantasy that I can make writing into a career of sorts.
